The Plot

'We've reason to believe you've been chosen as their next target, and we have three or four years before they come after you'

It's time. Half a year has passed since Uzumaki Naruto returned to Konoha after training with Jiraya. And a lot has happened since then. Gaara is still Kaskage and although he lost Shukaku. He's still as powerful as ever. And he's learnt a few new techniques. Everyone has grown up and learnt new skills. Some have even gone up in skills. Including Naruto, no longer is he a Genin; but a Chuunin. Meaning he's one step closer to becoming Hokage.

But dreams like that will have to wait. Especially when the Akatsuki are lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike. Naruto doesn't know when or where they'll appear. But his constant training with Kakashi, Jiyara and his team helps him to prepare. He's determined not to let them take Kyubbi, and he'll do whatever it takes to stop them reaching their goal. And now that Sakura knows about Kyubbi, she herself is determined not to let any harm come to the shinobi she secretly loves.

But there's more the young Shinobi has on his mind. After seeing Sasuke again, Naruto and Sakura are even more determined to get him back. Even though they can see he doesn't want to return. They'll do whatever it takes to knock sense into him and bring him out of the darkness.

But they're not the only one's who are facing problems. A shadow in the darkness; A missing nin is facing her own troubles. Cursed with her own Biju, she has wondered for many years alone. Once a ninja of Konoha, she fled and was presumed dead. She returned to the village of her clan's origin. Only to destroy it years later. Now with the smoke rising up, Konoha's best teams have been sent to investigate. But what will they think when they discover the 'ghost' that is Narita Shaarotto?
